Was very pessimistic about this when the draw was made but as long as Moyes doesn't make any stupid selection decisions (which I doubt he will) I think we should progress.

EL has to be the priority for the remainder of the season now.

I expect Fabianski will play, which I don't mind. Other than that I think Moyes will play his strongest side... can then afford to rest a couple v Burnley if necessary.

I’d say we’re going to get around 55 points di winning this fucker is the overiding priority.

8th should be good enough for Europe. We shouldn't be prioritising anything yet.

Just play our best team. It's not like Moyes isn't used to working them into the ground.

Branded - Funnily enough this morning I worked out how many more points I thought we would get in the remaining games... came out as 13 so I agree with the 55 points which last season would have had us in 9-10 place.

Be surprised if we finish any higher than that but obviously happy to be surprised but can't see us getting into Europe through our league placing.

Lee - Hear what you're saying, we have no injuries so should be going full tilt in both league and cup, but I'd still say Europe takes a slight priority, winning it is a dream in itself but it also gets you into the CL.

Coming from you thats rich.... as the resident hard of thinking that only looks at results and continues to tongue Moye's arse you are in no position to cast aspersions on anyone elses power of thought...

I was writing while walking so if my spelling was a little off I profoundly apologise to all other posters...

but anyway do fuck off ... I notice you only comment when we are winning because you cant take the abuse poor Moyesie and his cohort of fuckwits get on this site when his performances attracts the appropriate result... you'll soon be absent once the great run of beating the relegation fodder is over and we have to play someone half decent again and we are out of Europe...

Enjoy it while you can you maggot infested turd!!

I expect Fabianski, Aguerd, Mavopanos, Johnson, Phillip's and Antonio to start. Dont think Zouma will.
Expect us to do a decent job and get past them.

And then if we go into December when we had an in form Paqueta and Kudus we literary did beat anyone including ManU and Arsenal. As our Charley pointed out at the start of the Everton match thread When Lucas Paquetá, Emerson, AND Mohammed Kudus have started, West Ham United have NEVER lost a game.
Judging by the way we're playing and players available for selection, I'd say British is not far wrong.

Who's the brainless Moyes lover moron.
Using two swear words in a four word sentence highlights your abdominal use of the English language.
How ironic.

Re: ⚽ SC Freiburg v West Ham - Official Match Thread - Preview
What is our priority now ?
I think finishing 7th or even 8th is far easier than winning EL.
A lot of results have gone our way lately.
There's 7 teams vying for 1 EL and 1 ECL place.
Man Utd
West Ham
Newcastle
Brighton
Wolves
Chelsea
Fulham

I don't know how EL places will go if a)PL get the 5th spot b)West Ham or Brighton win the EL.
UEFA will have a problem, points collected by PL will be guaranteed a 5th spot. Will they allow 6 PL teams in the CL ?
Will this then limit the amount of PL teams in Europa League?
6 PL teams in CL
3 in EL
1 in ECL
If Villa miss out on CL and win ECL then they qualify for EL. How will that effect the placings .
Could it really be that 10th or 11th could entertain a European adventure.
Lucky Moyes could be in heaven here.

Maybe this should be in another thread 🤔.

Tbh we could put out a 2nd XI and beat Burnley.
I also see Casey,Earthy and Orford have travelled.
The u21's have a game on Friday, I guess sitting watching on German bench getting cold is part of Moyes's training methods for the youth.

Huge variations abound.Teams are losing a couple then winning

"Will they allow 6 PL teams in the CL?"

Yes. Theoretically there could even be 7 PL teams in the CL next year, but that would require Arsenal or Man City winning it this year and dropping out of the top 5, as well as Brighton or WHU winning the Europa.

Not really sure how it works out but I read somewhere that UEFA haven't set a maximum but in any case there almost certainly won't be more than 9 PL entrants across all European comps next year. I think probably that if there's 6 in the CL then there'll only be 2 in the EL and one in the ECL.
